Description matt 2010-03-14 19:30:38 UTC
trying to update my prefix and i get alot of gui packages that need libSM which will pull in util-linux which is masked. after searching i found that it was the use flag uuid, disabing that fixes and allows me to update with out portage whinning.

i am not sure if any packages can work with the uuid use flag so i dont know if uuid should be disabled globally or per package in the profile, where it would pull in a blocker. perhaps this could be a portage feature that could scan for blocks like this. or a QA util.

We don't need two bugs for this issue, thanks :)
