In chapter 5.b. Adding Unofficial Ebuilds, gensync command from app-portage/gentoolkit-dev is used to update multiple overlay.

This command is obsolete and is not anymore distributed by gentoolkit-dev.

A short introduction to layman should replace those paragraphs.
