Description Denis Dupeyron (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-01-12 19:50:17 UTC
Please arches stabilize electronics-menu/electronics-menu-1.0. It's a dependency of e.g. sci-electronics/electric-8.09 which is being stabilized now. This package only contains icons and a menu entry for electronics applications so there are very few chances it breaks your system.

Denis.

That should be sci-electronics/electronics-menu-1.0

By the way it does not show up here on xfce4 and the electronic applications lands all in 'others'

Thanks for letting me know about the wrong summary. And I didn't know about the xfce issue so I'll investigate.

If this package isn't suitable for xfce then the solution is to conditionally depend on it based on gnome and kde USE flags. In which case it doesn't prevent us from stabilizing it right now.

Denis.

It is not an issue. Just takes a logout and back in for it to show up.

Simple relogin does not work here. The xfce-applications.menu gets not rebuild automatically. I have to insert a new menu entry for the electronics category in it by hand.
