Relevant Makefile [1] lines:
EXTRAVERSION =
EXTRAVERSION := $(EXTRAVERSION)-omap1

I suspect it broke after in [2].

The make-based check for EXTRAVERSION can fail as well.
I'll see about using the make-based version and then falling back.

Should be fixed with linux-info.eclass rev 1.78 now.
