gallery 2.3.1 is also needed for php 5.3 (at least 2.3 will produce tons of warnings).

failed when checking PHP features because there is no more USE=pcre. This USE flag is by default in php-5.3, I think. Just removing the check for it in pkg_setup() works.

2.3-r2 will emerge with php-5.3, regarding 2.3.1 I don't have the powers to include that. web-apps?

Nope, I was planning to let gallery-2.3.1 go stable after a month or so and have it be the only gallery-2.x.x in the tree.

Thanks for the version bump. Do you happen to have an overlay with a Gallery 3 ebuild we can try/test?
