Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge lcdproc graphlcd-base serdisplib
2. editing the confs
3. /etc/init.d/LCDd start

Actual Results:
the alphacool display is short flashing (with "lcdtestpattern" from graphlcd-base and "testserdisp -n alphacool -p 'USB:060C/04EB'" from serdisplib the display is showing stuff)

Looks more like a freetype-problem to me. However, this bug is quite old. What is the current status? Does the problem persist?
