I've had to revert to Amarok-1.4 to regain access to my IRiver-700 device which uses libifp.

Should have mentioned need to unmask media-sound/amarok-1.4.10_p20090130-r3

Open a request to upstream developers to restore libifp functionality,
or code one yourself.
