Without curl, some functionality isn't present such as comparison testing and results merging.

Test and download boxes move to the background after they finish and need to be manually closed to continue.

Graph results fonts don't work (I think this is due to the new Fonttype option but it may be something simple)

Results submission doesn't work unless the following options are enabled in /etc/php/cli-php5/php.ini:
allow_url_fopen
file_uploads
allow_url_include
