Description David Raison 2009-11-28 01:56:10 UTC
* All versions of 'app-text/kbibtex' are masked. Candidates are:
    * app-text/kbibtex-0_p95:4::gentoo: Masked by repository (/usr/portage/profiles/package.mask: Samuli Suominen <ssuominen@gentoo.org> (13 Nov 2009) kde-base/kdelibs:3.5 reverse dependencies  Masked for removal in 30 days.  Bug 292791. )
    * app-text/kbibtex-0.2.1:0::gentoo: Masked by repository (/usr/portage/profiles/package.mask: Samuli Suominen <ssuominen@gentoo.org> (13 Nov 2009) kde-base/kdelibs:3.5 reverse dependencies  Masked for removal in 30 days.  Bug 292791. )

And I need that app.

There's a KDE4 version coming, 0_p95 is a sneak preview of that,

http://home.gna.org/kbibtex/

Meanwhile the current kdelibs-3 doesn't compile anymore in ~arch due to Autoconf 2.64, so it stays masked.
Comment 2 David Raison 2009-11-28 16:37:50 UTC
But package.mask contains all versions of app-text/kbibtex package and not just the 0.2.1 version. Which means, one can't install the 0_p95 version unless it is manually unmasked.

The 0_p95 wasn't really usable, the next snapshot will be unmasked. Will check out newer revision soon and try it out, don't worry.. it won't be removed until one is available. Meanwhile, just unmask it and use, and even in worst case scenario you can find it in the kde3-overlay (in layman)

Well now I set here without any kbibtex ebuild available...

I meant to say "sit".
Guess I'll just have to find another bibtex managing tool then :(

The latest sources are now available in Portage, upstream revision 109,

It's still under heavy development...
