Please have a look if the filesystem /var/tmp/portage resides on is full. If not, run fsck, please.
Comment 2 Carsten Lohrke (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-11-26 16:55:15 UTC
uh
Comment 3 Wumba 2009-11-27 09:05:39 UTC
I have 40GB left on the device, and fsck was executed without any errors.
Comment 4 Wumba 2009-12-02 09:36:05 UTC
A new observation:
if I try
ebuild ~ unpack
ebuild ~ configure
ebuild ~ compile
the system crashes with the segmentation fault. If I switch to the directory with the sources, execute a 'make' and after that
ebuild ~ qmerge
everything can be installed. Is there an additional change in the building system that can destroy something?

Segmentation faults usually ( but not necessary ) indicates a hardware issue. However I would advice you to update to latest Qt ( 4.6.2 ) and try again

Comment 6 Davide Pesavento (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-11-13 15:06:10 UTC
Qt 4.5 is no longer in tree.
