Apparently the failure happens when parsing the test RSS XML file. The test XML file claims to be of doctype Netscape RSS 0.91. Dutifully, the SAX parser seems to go for the URL reported in the doctype. Unfortunately, Netscape is gone, and there is now an AOL server responding with HTTP 301 (permanently moved), redirecting the DTD request to their html-portal at netscape.aol.com. The parser probably gets a mouthful of broken html instead of a DTD?

I wonder if the RSS tests should just be removed entirely, or even the whole package? Not much seems to be depending on it.

And then there is the stabilization bug ( bug #254325 ) which might need to be blocked by this one.

  Add patch to fix test suite. Thanks to [e-mail] for
  pointing out the upstream commit. Reported in bug #254325.

Has been fixed a while.
