Description pavel zaitsev 2002-05-23 01:26:33 UTC
Once installing gimp, gtk-perl was being pulled in. emerge panicked,
trying to load 'subpackage' gdkpixbuf, suggesting that it guessed a wrong name.

sorry no error source.

do you have gdk-pixbuf?
Comment 2 Ian Goldby 2002-05-24 16:49:14 UTC
I had the same problem. It seems that gdk-pixbuf is a dependency of gtk-perl,
but it's not mentioned in the ebuild. I added media-libs/gdk-pixbuf as a
dependency in my local copy of
portage/dev-perl/gtk-perl/gtk-perl-0.7008-r3.ebuild and then gtk-perl built
without further problems. Suggest that this is corrected in the official
distribution.

(I have the -gnome USE setting, in case that is relevant.)

Thanks for that Ian. I have added it as a dep and things should work in the -r4
release :)
