The documentation for the clamav milter use flag is old enough that it was before Postfix supported sendmail milters.

Using http://slaptijack.com/system-administration/postfix-23-and-clamav-milter/ as a guide, I've modified the clamav-milter.README.gentoo to reflect how to setup the clamav milter for Postfix as well.

May want to wait for bug #293735 to be resolved, just incase there is anything else that needs to be done manual

(Adding groups, etc.)

can someone who knows about milter check if this all still applies to current versions please?

My setup still reflects the instructions in this file and I'm up to date with amd64 stable.

Decided to test this out on my server after all. Seems to work ok, but I added  a section about socket permissions
