Got a SIGABRT while executing native code. This usually indicates
a fatal error in the mono runtime or one of the native libraries
used by your application.

Reproducible: Always
Comment 1 Gilles Dartiguelongue gentoo-dev 2009-11-16 16:45:05 UTC
emerge --info please. Does this happen with USE="-mono" ? Do you have dev-dotnet/gtk-sharp-gapi installed ?
Comment 2 Romain Perier (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-11-17 10:16:30 UTC
Then could you provide a complete backtrace please ? some symbols are missing there, and some threads have missing stacks...

Yes, I have gtk-sharp-gapi installed.

root@condor:/root(3)# qlist -Iv gtk-sharp-gapi

evolution was installed with the mono USE flag.
Two reboots and some 'emerge --sync; emerge -uvDN world' later, I can try to write a mail without a crashing evolution.

This looks like the same problem as bug #292587, i.e., gvfs protocol change requiring restart of gvfs-related daemons (just kill them; your GTK app will restart gvfs). I learned this from the following gentoo forum post:

I hope this helps the next person out!
