Is this intentional? Or is it just an oversight? More importantly, installing any 3.5.x is very difficult (if not impossible) on a "non-~arch" gentoo system, even though this is the version that Mozilla wants everyone to use. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install gentoo on x86. 2. Be sure not to use ~arch. 3. emerge --pretend mozilla-firefox Actual Results: The version was 3.0, not 3.5. Expected Results: It should have picked 3.5.
Do not CC any Gentoo staff on your own when you can't assign bugs. Firefox 3.5.3 will not be stabilized as it is superseded by 3.5.4. Stabilization will be handled in bug 290892.
Please be patient. Not all arches are equally fast in stabilization. Furthermore please refrain from CCing arches/herds/developers yourself. That's the bug wrangler's job. There's also no need to CC yourself when you are the reporter of a bug. You will receive emails on changes to your bugs anyway. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 280393 *** *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 280393 ***
