Description Arthur Spitzer 2009-10-01 06:53:05 UTC
Hi,

I downloaded the latest x11.stable.list from above bug. Trying to update my system produces:

!!! Multiple package instances within a single package slot have been pulled
!!! into the dependency graph, resulting in a slot conflict:

x11-libs/xcb-util:0

('installed', '/', 'x11-libs/xcb-util-0.3.3', 'nomerge') pulled in by
    ~x11-libs/xcb-util-0.3.3 required by ('installed', '/', 'x11-wm/awesome-3.2.1-r3', 'nomerge')
    (and 1 more)

('ebuild', '/', 'x11-libs/xcb-util-0.3.6', 'merge') pulled in by
    x11-libs/xcb-util required by ('installed', '/', 'x11-libs/cairo-1.8.8', 'nomerge')

That's most probably because =x11-wm/awesome-3.2.1-r3 has RDEPEND="~x11-libs/xcb-util-0.3.3".

and then dies.

I don't know why it has occured.
the ebuild uses 'rm -rf "${D}"/usr/share/doc/${PN}' for that.

could you paste your emerge.log?
