I am using enlightenment 1.0.0 (e16). I used e16 orgiginally with kde-3.5, then kde-4.1, 4.2, and now 4.3. The problem seems to have arisen with kde-4.3. I added both bin directories under the main dirctories to my PATH to solve the problem of finding executable programs, but have now found that updates are failing to find the kde libraries. Reproducible: Always
I have (later) deleted the directory /usr/share/e16usr, entered FEATURES="collision-protect" in my /etc/make.conf, and re-emerged enlightenment and the kde-4 programs I regularily use. So far all seems to function OK. I suspect that the problem arose at some point with updates to either e16 or kde.
