Trying to install Module::Install with g-cpan it gives dependency problem is asking for perl-5.10.1 and the most current in portage is perl-5.8.8-r6 Based on the number of bug errors for g-cpan I think it should be removed from portage; it does not work correctly. It is just causing the problem.
