Bug 285374 – net-irc/bitchx-1.1-r4 fails to build with _FORTIFY_SOURCE=2

Running ~x86, tried both with gcc-4.3.4 and 4.4.1 with same results. Complains about too few arguments provided to a function in /usr/include/bits/fcntl.h.

In function 'open',
    inlined from 'create_ipc_socket' at commands2.c:2578:
/usr/include/bits/fcntl2.h:51: error: call to '__open_missing_mode' declared with attribute error: open with O_CREAT in second argument needs 3 arguments
gmake[1]: *** [commands2.o] Error 1
gmake[1]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/net-irc/bitchx-1.1-r4/work/BitchX/source'
make: *** [BitchX] Error 2

Also tried with 4.3.4 (see attached build.log), with same result. Compiles fine with 4.3.4 and glibc 2.9.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Upgrade glibc to 2.10.1.
2. Emerge bitchx.
3. Watch it die.

Actual Results:  
Compile error indicating /usr/include/bits/fcntl.h.

Expected Results:  
Successful compilation?
