Description Petr Pisar 2009-09-02 17:13:55 UTC
After upgrading gentoo on an old fashioned PC (AMD K6-2 proccesor with VIA chipset), I was unable to start x86 stable xorg-server-1.5.3. It segfaults in stable x11-libs/libpciaccess-0.10.5 dependency while scanning PCI bridges.

This bug has been confirmed <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=20786> and fixed <http://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/lib/libpciaccess/commit/?id=9ba94caf57e3a8c3e9c6f3f5f068f4a7a7b3ff9d> by upstream and new version 0.10.6 has been released.

libpciaccess-0.10.6 is in portage already but masked by keyword. Please, stabilize x11-libs/libpciaccess-0.10.6 or bump 0.10.5 revision with applied patch.

This will be done as part of the xorg-server 1.6 stabilization.

Thanks
