Comment 1 Ulrich Müller gentoo-dev 2009-08-25 18:47:04 UTC
This package doesn't make much sense any more, since its last stand-alone release was in 2006, and Emacs 22.3 and 23.1 include newer versions (5.31.6 and 5.31.7, respectively). So I've masked it for removal:

# Ulrich Mueller <ulm@gentoo.org> (25 Aug 2009)
# Included with GNU Emacs (since version 21 at least).
# Last stand-alone release in 2006; cannot be compiled with Emacs 23.
# Masked for removal in 30 days, bug 282662.
app-emacs/cc-mode

However, there's still activity in upstream CVS, so in principle we could add a live ebuild to the Emacs overlay, in case there should be any need for it.

Package removed.
