It just changed; sorry about the near-zero-day post but I'll forget if I don't do it now. http://www.chkrootkit.org/ Reproducible: Always
Oh dear. Upstream has gone stupid (no version numbers! yey! wait, the other thing. Aaaarghwtfnooooo!) and the patches don't apply anymore. So I'll pretend I've never seen this bug and do something less painful ...
I've had a bit of a play around, and I believe I've got everything working. Patches to be attached!
Created attachment 202178 [details, diff] update ebuild Remove a patch fixing a problem that has been fixed upstream.
Created attachment 202182 [details, diff] small fix to ensure to stop breakage
Created attachment 202184 [details, diff] updates the gentoo patch to apply to 0.49 The first chunk is removed because it's now fixed upstream. The second chunk is an (attempt at an) integration of the '$egrep [0-9]' into the Gentoo patch.
Gentoo has a nice tiny “guide” on using diff: http://devmanual.gentoo.org/tools-reference/diff-and-patch/index.html I hope this helps you. :) If not, maybe the man page would be a start? :)
Huh? My last comment was a answer to a comment #6, which strangely is gone now. Here’s the content I got via mail: ------- Comment #6 from robert.spam.me.senseless@gmail.com 2009-12-19 12:25 0000 ------- Somebody has put a few diffs at https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=280332 but I couldn't get these to work. Any ideas? Maybe I just don't know much about the diff command.

So I'll pretend > I've never seen this bug and do something less painful ... > Now, they are not THAT stupid, they are just stupid enought to not announce the versioned on their homepage. Look over @ ftp://ftp.pangeia.com.br/pub/seg/pac/ (to where their download page points) and you will see that the link they have from the homepage is just a link to a versioned package.
Will there be any updated ebuild soon ?
Closing since this was added almost a year ago.
