When "Show position of pointer when the Control key is pressed" in [System]->[Preferences]->[Mouse]->[Locate Pointer] checked, the key press event for the control key does not generated. Thus, some application could not detect the keypress event at all. For example, xmame and some game applications based on SDL could not detect a control key press event.
