I can't access my LAN in 1.4 LiveCD. /proc/modules lists tulip, the proper
driver.  /proc/pci lists a DECChip-21142/43 based card, OK. However, the
"active" indicator  on my hub never lights up. ifconfig only shows lo, no eth0.
With 1.4rc1, the initial status after booting is the same, but net-setup lights
the active light, and adds eth0 to ifconfig.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Boot from Gentoo 1.45 CD1.
2. modprobe tulip (not really needed - /proc/modules already lists tulip)
3. run net-setup eth0 or dhcpcd eth0.

Actual Results:  
Nothing. No etho appears in ifconfig.

Expected Results:  
Activate the network, add eth0 to ifconfig.

This works with 1.4rc1 LiveCD

Should be supported on newer livecd's, please reopen if its not.
