Description Felix K 2009-06-14 15:13:52 UTC
Hi,
the weather report applet on my machine uses different fonts for the temperature unit (bigger and with aliasing) and the temperature digits (system font).
Same appears, when I use the clock applet with weather/temperature features enabled.

I also tried gnome-base/gnome-applets-2.26.1, same result.

Comment 1 Felix K 2009-06-15 18:36:20 UTC
By the way, i just tested it with °C and °F.
Today i found out:

°C uses different font.
°F uses different font.
K uses system font!
Comment 2 Gilles Dartiguelongue (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-06-28 21:47:38 UTC
This is an upstream problem. I think they did this to make sure the °C symbol would be visible for everyone. Ftr it looks just fine here but it probably has to with fonts setup. Try installing dejavu fonts and if it is still a problem, you probably need to report this upstream (and paste the URL here).

(In reply to comment #2)

emerging media-fonts/dejavu solved the problem.

Many thanks,
Felix
