In the tree pane on the left hand side the following icons are missing: under Music Library: Play Queue Favorites Recent Favorites Recently... Unheard under Video Library: Favorites Unwatched under Last.FM: Last.FM Radio what gives?? is this to be expected in a stable ebuild??? gah come on folks! lets get it together... this is bad behaviour in an ebuild. is there a workaround or fix for this? i hope? Thanx! Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge banshee-1.4.3-r1 2. that's it. 3. Actual Results: the above icons are represented by the missing icon icon... Expected Results: They SHOULD be represented by the normal, intended icons for the application. I am hoping that the ebuild works. I just bought a T-Mobile G-1 Android phone specifically because it would sync with Banshee aka Linux and Gentoo.. and now... I just hope it will work otherwise I will be screwed and will have gained nothing but a hole in my wallet, and could have just kept the iPhone 3G... gah!

In future bug submissions, I hope you rephrase your tone of reporting. Seeing stuff like this quickly makes anyone working on FOSS (for free, mind you) lose motivation to help you. Thanks for your consideration.

Seeing > stuff like this quickly makes anyone working on FOSS (for free, mind you) lose > motivation to help you. Thanks for your consideration. > I'd like to take this moment to PUBLICLY apologize for being rash with my tone, thoughtless at the focus of Gentoo being a public and volunteer project that is done out of the kindness of everyone's hearts, and for being such a JERK; which I regret deeply. I hope this doesn't sour any of the awesome volunteer's outlook on Gentoo as a project because of my silly and petty frustrations. Again I am sorry for reacting badly. Best...

Thanks. Assigning to maintainers for review. I've heard rumors about the latest glib causing missing icons. I have no clue if that is related to this or not.

I would contend that changing the severity to minor is incorrect. With the icons missing, you can not use banshee as a podcast client since you loose all podcast functionality.
