mousepad depends on intltool and intltool depends on XML-Parser... I suspect something else is broken on your side
Yup, makes no sense to me. The only additional bit of info I can offer is to expand on the last comment: mousepad requires intltool to build only. intltool requires XML-Parser to *run* so if intltool is installed, XML-Parser will always be on the system. Feel free to re-open if you have any additional info. As for now, this will go nowhere so I'm going to resolve it.
