Should work with MIT and Heimdal, compiles with gcc-3.3/glibc-2.3.2. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
Created attachment 16001 [details] ebuild
NOTE: the name for ebuild is pam_krb5-1.3_rc7.ebuild and it should be placed in app-crypt/pam_krb5
Created attachment 17775 [details] pam-krb5-1.3_rc7.ebuild app-crypt/pam-krb5/pam-krb5-1.3_rc7.ebuild : * renamed to pam-krb5 to avoid conflict with existing pam_krb5 * blocks on pam_krb5
This ebuild works on a sparc (Ultra 5) when I modify the keywords to include sparc.
Anybody using kerberos can test this ?
This ebuild works great for me.

I've not tested the ebuild directly, but the package itself builds fine on amd64. Also, I don't think this should block on pam_krb5, but should supersede it, since I'm pretty sure pam_krb5 is dead anyway. Of course there doesn't seem to be much going on with this package either. At any rate, I don't see any reason to really make this a separate package in portage. If we do have to have separate packages, I say we just deprecate the old pam_krb5 and take it out of portage, as this one is a far superior package. Finally, this bug hasn't been touched since last year. Is this going to make it into portage anytime? It seems like all the kerberos related stuff takes forever to make it in. Is there anyone actually working on kerberos in Gentoo?
Ryan, that's your package, what do you think about this?
I'm not currently using pam_krb5. Lets put the package into the tree package masked w/ a note for testing. We really need to find a maintainer for the kerberos packages.
Adding kerberos team to see if somebody interested.
