I am unable to emerge e2fsprogs-libs. I did a find of libcom_err.so and found: /usr/lib32/libcom_err.so /lib32/libcom_err.so Note that /usr/lib32/libcom_err.so is not a symlink, but a real file. ls -l /lib32/libcom_err.so* my lib32 is also not a symlink. but the libcom_err.so are: /lib32/libcom_err.so -> libcom_err.so.2 /lib32/libcom_err.so.2 -> libcom_err.so.2.1 /lib32/libcom_err.so.2.1 [real] my make.conf: # These settings were set by the catalyst build script that automatically # built this stage. # Please consult /etc/make.conf.example for a more detailed example.
