Only with the stabilization of libgcrypt-1.4.4, I observed that I am unable to access all my old pgp archives - I am certainly not the only one who wants this. So far, I have appreciated very much that gentoo made IDEA available by some patch. If you think that for a technical reason this patch can no longer be maintained (in a first attempt, the patch applied without problems but despite I "eautoreconf"ed and reemerged gnupg afterwards, it seems to have no effect - I am not sure what I am missing), is it then perhaps possible to provide some other "official" means to access these old archives (e.g. some original pgp or some slotted older gpg)?
I'm against patches adding new features not approved by upstream.
