I'd say let's convert this into a version bump request as there's already version 6.5.1 available which fixes the problem you describe here...
netbeans 6.7 beta is now in the tree. if the problem is still not fixed in 6.7 then pls reopen this bug.
package 6.7 beta solve problems with sun-jdk-1.6.0.12, but create another problems 1. 6.7 beta is beta version, 6.5.1 is production version 2. there are some plugins which work with netbeans 6.5.1, but don't work with 6.7 beta (for example Identity Manager IDE)
we have now netbeans 6.8 stable in tree so closing this
