sercd is the successor of sredird, an RFC2217-compliant serial over
network proxy (serial port redirector as upstream calls it)

Redirector is not exactly the same as proxy. 
Reassigned to net-dialup team since this program is a serial port redirector.

Submitted as net-dialup/sercd-3.0.0. 
The submitted version has very few things in common with the attached preliminary version. Thanks for the intention though!
