The original ruby-filemagic project seemes to be inactive since 2003.
There is an active fork at http://rubyforge.org/projects/ruby-filemagic/
This fork released a 0.2.1 version. Portage only has the 0.1.1 version from 2003

Tests fail for this version. I've filed an upstream bug for it and won't add this to CVS for now.

I just noticed that there is a new upstream version. Unfortunately test still don't properly work, but I've added this version now anyway and restricted tests for the time being.
