Description Alexander Bezrukov 2009-03-15 02:32:20 UTC
I have dev-lang/icc-10.0.026 and dev-lang/ifc-10.0.026-r1 (the latest marked stable) packages installed on my system. These are the packages which contain pre-compiled binaries which depend on 32-bit pre-gcc-3.4 libstdc++.so.5 (provided by sys-libs/libstdc++-v3) which in turn lacks (hopefully, for a reason) version information. This makes revdep-rebuild each time to re-emerge icc and ifc. This is both useless (since these ebuilds only unpack pre-compiled binaries) and time consuming.

Could you consider a way to exclude these packages from revdep-rebuild search?

I am not sure that addressing dev-lang/icc, dev-lang/ifc (as opposed to sys-libs/libstdc++-v3) in this bug is the right thing...

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge dev-lang/icc dev-lang/ifc
2. revdep-rebuild

eix -I libstdc++-v3
