Unfortunately I do not know how to debug this further, but when I open a gnome-terminal and type exit it does not close. It says "logout" and scrolls down to show an empty window, but the window/tab doesn't close. If I press X it closes. From another terminal ps -Al gives me "bash <defunct>" This behaviour occured after an emerge --update world but I'm not sure if immediatley after. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Alt+F2 2. type "gnome-terminal" 3. type "exit" Actual Results: gnome-terminal window does not close Expected Results: gnome-terminal window closes
Do you use latest nvidia-drivers (180.35) ? Is a known problem with the latest version, it seems to broke things like gnome-screensaver and anything related with signals. And if not please post emerge --info :).
