When I run esync, all is normal and working correctly except that the display of the list of upgraded packages is showing only the first upgraded package and not all the list. Fixed for me by editing /usr/sbin/esync, and removing the 'break' statement from line 196.
not important for me anymore as eix-sync is doing the same job but better.
