The new Dell PowerEdge 1750 servers have an updated LSI Logic Raid controller that apparently requires the use of the latest MegaRaid drivers. Check out a Dell engineer's site: http://domsch.com/linux/#megaraid Uncompiled drivers can be found here: ftp://ftp.lsil.com/pub/linux-megaraid/drivers/ Please can you add this support to the live cds? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Boot from any version of stage 1 liveCD 2.Try to find scsi driver modprobe aacraid, mptbase and mptscsih 3. Actual Results: Device cannot be found Expected Results: Found the SCSI card This is annoying as we have just bought these new servers to replace the two gentoo boxes we already have. I don't want to use Redhat or SuSE, but I may have to as we need to move to the new servers before the old ones melt...
Marking as dup of 62508..yes, i know this one is older, but the other is already assigned to the right people :) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 62508 ***
Moving these so we can remove the "Install CD" component from "Gentoo Linux". I apologize to everyone for this spam, but according to the bugzilla developers, this is the only reasonable way to do this.
