I've been reading about nvidia-drivers 71.86.06 doesn't support kernel 2.6.27 and now I'm using 71.86.07 (next stable no-masked version) but the problem is the lower color depth and nvidia-settings don't charge normally. An error message appears when I try to open nvidia-settings, it says something like "You don't appear to be using a valid X display" This the final message when I install nvidia-drivers-71.86.07 * QA Notice: make jobserver unavailable: * * make[2]: warning: jobserver unavailable: using -j1.
