Description Zoltán Halassy 2009-02-02 09:21:52 UTC
iptraf doesn't seem to resolve IPv6 addresses from DNS database (it's shows the traffic properly). It does when it's in the hosts file or it's an IPv4 address.

tried having only ipv6, only ipv4 nameserver, and having both with both orders (ipv6 first, ipv4 second, then vica versa).

"getent hosts 1234::1234" gives back the proper name from the ipv6 address.

both iptraf versions was compiled with the ipv6 useflag.

Could you try if iptraf-ng fixes this?
Comment 2 Zoltán Halassy 2010-09-17 10:13:09 UTC
exact same problem (net-analyzer/iptraf-ng-1.0.2)
