Section 1.d The Portage scripts and utilities - Both functions dolib and dolib.so seem to be used to install .so files, though with different permissions. When to use which? General - Referring to "me"/"mine"/"my"/"I" is bad in a multi-author document.
These improvements should be done to http://devmanual.gentoo.org and the sections in the Developer Handbook replaced with links to devmanual.
Also that page states that it's outdated and points to devmanual. Then, I think will be better if you could recheck if that problems are still present in devmanual and, in that case, open a bug for devmanual pointing to new locations Thanks
