A friendly editor for linux. Please note - this is my very first ebuild and the app is fairly complex. I think that I managed to get to conform the gentoo way of storing documentations, but I don't think the app likes it very much. Right now it's functional and the various flags correctly configure optional things like the calculator and calendar. It looks like the source might need to be patched some to fully support Gentoo's directory structure. So far I haven't figured it out and could use the help to get rid of an annoying message when the app opens. Also, some clever ebuild programming could remove the necessity to patch config.pl as I have done. Maybe I will do this later. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.execute setedit 2. 3. Actual Results: an error messge about not finding a desktop file or a help file Expected Results: no errors
Created attachment 177776 [details] setedit-0.5.5.ebuild The main e-build file
Created attachment 177778 [details, diff] files/config.pl.patch patches the config.pl to be more Gentoo friendly. Could be removed if we redo the ebuild
Also, I have only tested this on x86. On Ubuntu, redhat, etc, this app runs on 64 bit as well.
Hi, I would like to know what needs to be done before this ebuild is added to the portage tree ?
