Description Diego Elio Pettenò (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-12-25 20:17:24 UTC
* GNOME libcroco 0.6.1 or newer
  + Optional.
Needed for the --color option of the various programs.
If not present, a copy of libcroco-0.6.1 (included in this package) will
    be compiled into libgettextlib.

  + Download:
    http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/sources/libcroco/0.6/
+ If it is installed in a nonstandard directory, pass the option
    --with-libcroco-0.6-prefix=DIR to 'configure'.

please read the comments

    # --without-emacs: Emacs support is now in a separate package
    # --with-included-glib: glib depends on us so avoid circular deps
    # --with-included-libcroco: libcroco depends on glib which ... ^^^
Comment 2 Diego Elio Pettenò (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-06-07 21:53:36 UTC
Since at least on Linux glib does not depend on gettext (at runtime) could we get this in? Or at least get it in linked to a build USE flag or something like that?

Thank you…
Comment 3 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2010-06-07 22:39:32 UTC
USE=build implies that the circ dep only occurs during stage building which is not the case. you can have a system without gettext or glib which means attempting to build them will fail. so no, that is not an acceptable option.
