Greetings, after my last "emerge @system" - Linux-2.6.27-gentoo-r5, ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" (which included an update to udev-135 and openrc-0.4.0), my system refused to boot because of a not starting udev. The output: * Mounting /proc... * Mounting /sys... * udev uses addon code which is deprecated * and may not be available in the futur. * Mounting /dev... /lib64/rcscripts/addons/udev-start.sh: line 26: _start: command not found * Error: udev failed to start ... In the end, the system leaves me in the maintenance console without a filesystem. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Downgrading udev to the version udev-125-r2 2. 3. Actual Results: I worked around this problem by chrooting into the system from a LiveCD and downgrading udev to the version udev-125-r2. But If someone has clue of what is going on, then I am still interested, since I doubt that it is a good idea to block any updates to udev forever.
