As GNOME 2.24 will hopefully get stable soon, it would be very useful to have a meta package for it.
Also the gnome-2.22.3.ebuild has dependencies on version greater 2.22.x there have new applications been added to GNOME 2.24 (e.g. telepathy framework) that should be considered to be included in the meta package.

this is already in overlay, we will add it whenever gnome 2.24 is considered ready.
