Due to the incompatibilities between version 1.4 and 1.5, it is necessary that both client versions should be able to be installed at the same time and to have the ability to eselect between the two. I am running into issues where the subversion server is version 1.2 (not under my control) and I need to use <= 1.4.6. The problem with that is mythtv (release-0-21-fixes) for example now is requiring the 1.5 subversion client. So as a result I am effectively not able to update the mythtv package because I need to have the older client installed.
