This has been working well, so continuing the tradition. This bug is for tracking regressions in stable portage packages (except kernel sources themselves) due to 2.6.27 upgrades. Please don't mark bugs as fixed until the fix is in the stable tree.
Aiming for December 15th for stable, please work to fix all bugs in the stable tree by then.
2.6.27 has series of regressions in USB mass storage device drivers - especially with phones in 'USB data mode' - this is example: http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11768 or http://linux.derkeiler.com/Mailing-Lists/Kernel/2008-07/msg12252.html It affects quite a family of nokia phones. Patches for some models are available though (see links).
This is for bugs in packages, not bugs in the kernel. You are describing a kernel issue. Nevertheless, if you have such a phone, are affected, and can test the patch, then please file a bug.

When you request this version of kernel stable, can you include that one? I'm "out of here" now. :-)

When you request this > version of kernel stable, can you include that one? No, this is for you to do :) Please file a stabilisation bug (now, so that it gets marked stable in advance), and make it block this one. If it's not closed by dec 15th, I will then make the kernel stabilisation bug depend on it.
ati-drivers-8.532 wfm with 2.6.27-gentoo-r7 but there have been reported failures on amd64, I'm not sure which version is the next stable candidate but the stable tree is pretty bad in this regard. bug 252226
Closing out tracker. >=2.6.27 series kernel went stable awhile ago.
