Description Nicolas Boichat 2008-10-18 21:51:46 UTC
Hi,

xfce-extra/xfce4-netload-0.4.0 fails to configure here:

# emerge xfce4-netload
...
config.status: creating Makefile
config.status: creating panel-plugin/Makefile
config.status: creating po/Makefile.in
config.status: WARNING: 'po/Makefile.in.in' seems to ignore the --datarootdir setting
config.status: creating config.h
config.status: executing depfiles commands
config.status: executing default-1 commands
config.status: executing po/stamp-it commands
config.status: error: po/Makefile.in.in was not created by intltoolize.
...

This seems to be similar to bug #240958, so I guess it is a problem with intltool-0.40.5.

emerge --info, if necessary:

Here is a quick fix. It seems to compile and run correctly that way (I don't know if internationalization still works though):

Well, we would like to fix it the right way. Which involves fixing the configure script. See the tracker bug for suggested fixes and explanations.
Comment 3 Christoph Mende (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-11-10 18:19:46 UTC
added the workaround for now
Comment 4 Jeremy Olexa (darkside) (RETIRED) archtester gentoo-dev Security 2008-11-18 16:34:58 UTC
Ok, fixed this how we fix every other xfce-extra/* build where we need to run eautoreconf.

+ intltoolize --force --copy --automake || die "intltoolize failed."
        AT_M4DIR=/usr/share/xfce4/dev-tools/m4macros eautoreconf
- intltoolize --force

Tested on stable amd64 host and ~amd64 chroot. Thanks.
