Description Nicolas Kaiser 2003-06-28 03:59:04 UTC
Noffle is a news server optimized for few users and low speed connections.
Please find attached an ebuild for the latest version of the development branch.
I'm using noffle on x86 and ppc.

sorry, I should have checked the bugs database first. my apologies. are there any chances of including the noffle ebuild into gentoo? Maybe you could add the simple sed line which replaces the standard news-server with gmane.org? it should suit the most majority of users out there. --Andreas

Last updated in June 2001, according to SF project page.

Unmaintained upstream, closing WONTFIX.

When you say the project is not active enough for your liking, that is of course
entirely up to you.

But I can't resist to nitpick your reasoning. When you say the last release was
in June 2001, you are obviously referring to a branch of the project (1.0.x)
different to the one of this ebuild (1.1.x/1.2.x)). The branch of this ebuild
had its last release on January 22, 2005, version 1.2.0rc1.
