Please don't assign bugs, when you don't know to whom.

i apologise for that i didn't do it on purpose, i selected component:kde and it was automatically assigned to kde herd

Compiling it is not enough. It sigbuses like webkit does when running an app that uses it. (i tried arora).

Carlo,

I'm sorry for that. I told him to open the bug that I would reassign it. I got distracted with other things and forgot about it.

Is there anything we can do about this? Or should we resolve this as upstream bug?
Comment 6 Raúl Porcel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-12-16 19:19:04 UTC
Just read that bug and do what you think :)
Comment 7 Jeroen Roovers (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-01-24 06:28:13 UTC
Maybe this one does it? It looks like that patch hasn't made it into qt-webkit. And it should probably not be restricted to SPARC either.

Comment 8 Ben de Groot (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-11-08 19:18:31 UTC
Sparc, please test and keyword x11-libs/qt-webkit-4.5.3-r1 which has the patch applied.
Comment 9 Raúl Porcel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-11-29 16:18:28 UTC
Done
Comment 10 Dror Levin (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-02-15 15:18:48 UTC
The patch does not apply since 4.6.0 so I've removed it in 4.6.{1,2}.
Is a new patch needed? What's missing to keyword it ~sparc again?
Comment 11 Raúl Porcel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-04-05 16:45:00 UTC
Yes, a new patch is needed, unfortunately.
Comment 12 Raúl Porcel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-10-23 12:01:46 UTC
Since this is a neverending story and upstream doesn't care, i've use.masked the webkit use-flag on sparc. Closing
