please note that -msse3 is not supported by gnome herd nor by upstream. Please rebuild epiphany and the gecko engine you are using without it. strace logs are not so often useful. A segfault requires a gdb backtrace in order to be analysed, please try to provide one. please also provide emerge -pv epiphany
I have opened the epiphany by gdb and have seen, that the segmentation fault occurs at the reference to xulrunner library. I have unset -msse3 flag and recompile xulrunner and epiphany. Epiphany works, thx.

Well, I can easily reproduce the bug, so I've reported it to epiphany's upstream through their BTS: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=549293
